What a great place! The resort is beautiful with fantastic rooms and bungalows. The beach is just a few steps away and the pool is large and inviting. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a luxurious rainforest shower and a relaxing bathtub.
The slow internet connection on the two available computers. , the drinks at the bar were a bit pricey.

Good location. Our room had a really nice bath. The staff were mostly pleasant and helpful. The Kib is a comfortable hotel, and a good base for checking out the rest of the island. The egg chef was great!
The room was really bare- no decoration and minimal furnishing. There wasn't a work desk, robe, or slippers as advertised. The TV is advertised as being satellite and cable, but out of the 7 or so channels, only 3 had a decent picture. Sorry, but the spa was hopeless. We walked out after 5 minutes of the worst foot massage we have ever had. The 'therapists' had absolutely no idea how to massage. And don't head down for breakfast before 7.30...

The Amandara Island resort is located on the whole island of Koh Kho Khao, which has a population of only 1000 people, ensuring a peaceful and secluded atmosphere. the resort is conveniently situated near the little port, just a 20, minute walk along the road. the highlight of the location is its pristine, unspoilt beach that stretches for about 10 kilometers, providing guests with a clean and tranquil environment. the rooms at the resort are spacious and well, maintained, with great bathrooms that feature outdoor showers. the friendly staff offer excellent service, and the breakfast includes a variety of delicious Thai food options.
The Wi, Fi signal at the resort is weak, making it difficult to stay connected.

We were upgraded to a very nice big room. Very comfortable. Breakfast was really good! Lovely pool and free beach chairs. Very silent which was precisely what we were looking for.
The staff!! Only one nice and helpful young guy there - the woman who is some how in charge surely doesn't know the meaning of the word "service". No WiFi in the room - only in the lobby area where lots of mosquitoes host a party every night. Bad restaurant - as others have mentioned, they can't make decent thai food. No stores around the resort to buy drinks and snacks. They charge you a ridiculously 100 baht for a 2 km drive to the pier where you find nice restaurants and mini markets etc. If they install WiFi in the rooms, improve the restaurant and consider having a small mini mart in the resort this is the perfect place to spend a relaxed holiday.

This vacation was the most romantic escape we've ever had. the hotel is located in a remote area with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. the room was large and clean, with a beautiful view from the balcony. the beach was perfect for a romantic stroll and the food was delicious with plenty of fresh seafood.
The limited dining options and lack of activities were a bit disappointing. the hotel wasn't close to any tourist attractions, which meant we had to spend a lot of time just relaxing at the hotel.

Some staff were friendly and helpfull. Food was excellent.
No information was supplied to us regarding ferry times to the island and as a direct result our car ended up stranded on the mainland costing us additional storage fees, additional ferry fees, additional taxi fees. Mould growing on the walls in the bathroom. Staff tried to charge us twice for our stay and the manager was extremely rude both to us and about us because he was unaware that we had a fluent Thai speaker in our party. We will all work actively to publicise this extremely bad service and to dissuade people from staying at this resort.

Mixed feelings, The staff is nice and helpfull, the food is very good, the rooms are large and clean but ..... nothing seems to work. The first room had no water the second one after 30 mn the temperature was still 32°C and the third one had just a little water for the shower i the morning. 3 rooms for one night is too much
the equipment outside seems too,old and not maintained properly

I liked that it was a very calm place and during our stay we could relax in 100% without season crowds.
The hotel restaurant is not very good, in the evening you can smell unpleasant smells -but there are very nice beach restaurants nearby

Not in khao lok, (40 km) too far from everything. No refund policy is absurd. Tried to change 10 days in advance and could not.

Nice and clean rooms. Clean pool. Nice massage!
The thai hospitality has gone missing here. The staff are indifferent to your needs. The nice swimming pool on commercial pictures is not available to you if you choose a cheaper room. Breakfast is a mess and understaffed.
